Step 1. Sort by Ordering
- Go to Extensions / Module Manager.
- Change the sorting in the Module Manager to sort by “Order” to be able to change the order. You can do this in one of two ways:
- Select “Ordering” in sort menu in the upper right
- Or click on the arrows at the top of far left column
Step 2. Drag and Drop to Re-Order
After Step 1, you will see that the modules will re-order themselves, grouped by module position, and dots in the order column will have turned black.
- Hover over the three dots to the left of the item you want to move. You will see a four arrow drag and drop cursor appear.
- Drag the module to place in the order that you want it within module position group. The row you are dragging will turn green.3. Release the cursor to drop the module into place. No need to save. It will show up as is.
Note:
You can not Drag and Drop outside of module position group.

- Joomla's Content-Load Module plugin allows you to embed a full module position in your Article content using {loadposition} tags.
- Using Content-Load Module (Joomla 2.5) in Plug-in Manager.
- Enable Content-Load Module
- Open a Module that you will feature inside a Article.
- Make a copy of Module by clicking on the Duplicate Button in Toolbar.
- Set up the Duplicate Module position by creating a unique word for module position.
- Do not click on Select Position Button
- Position: at Position type you unique word for illustration purpose we us article
- You can gave you Duplicate Module a new Title.
- Select Show Title: Show or Hide
- Save Duplicate Module
- Select Toolbar Content - Article Manager
- Open a Article that you want to embed you new Duplicate Module.
- Place your cursor in the Article where you like the Duplicate Module
- Type this tag:{loadposition}Menu below is a example load module in a article

View Module Positions in a Joomla 2.5 Template
- Log into your Joomla Dashboard.
- In the top menu, under Extensions click Template Manager.
- In the top right, click the Options button.
- Set Preview Module Positions to Enabled and then click Save & Close.
- Click the Templates tab.
- Next to the template you would like to view the structure of, click Preview.
- Or you can type ?1=tp in the address bar http://yoursite.com/index.php?tp=1.
